Project: Tank integrity testing
Client: Bureaveritas/Emcore

KpH were contracted by environmental consultants Bureaveritas who were working under instruction from Emcore UK to pressure test the underground tanks and fuel lines for British Airways at Heathrow airport. These works were the first stage for the decommissioning of BA’s bus depot and included:

• Carrying out precision ‘Mass-Tech’ testing to eight below ground storage tanks.
• Individually testing all associated suction lines.
• Testing of all associated vent lines.
• Issue report and confirm integrity of lines and tanks.
• Provide vacuum tanker to jet wash and clean all tank access chambers and dispose of contaminated product/water to a suitably licensed waste disposal facility.
