Site Health and Safety Award Scheme

Congratulations to KpH Deconstruction’s Alex Devalley, who has been awarded “Site Operative of the Week”  for Health and Safety by Site Manager, Darron Denham.

Alex earned his award due to his commitment and dedication to maintaining Health and Safety standards at our Strip Out and Enabling site at 66 Shoe Lane. In particular, leading by example and encouraging others.

As well as consistently meeting requirements, Alex has continued to impress the Site Managers with his enthusiasm and approach to ensuring all site staff are correctly wearing their PPE during the 12 week project.

This Heath and Safety Award Scheme is run by our Site Supervisors/Managers and is designed to identify and reward Operatives on Site that demonstrate the most knowledge, commitment and initiative towards the implementation of our Health and Safety standards and procedures. We believe that this Scheme has inspired staff to become more focused, diligent and proactive in improving health and safety in their own working environments. Dismantling techniques have improved, whilst extra care has been considered when putting up exclusion zones and using PPE correctly.

As we move forward into 2019, we are continuing to look for new ways in which we can engage and motivate our staff into collaborating on new Health and Safety improvement projects and campaigns. We believe this is the key to maintaining high Health and Safety standards on our Sites.

For more information regarding our Health and Safety processes, please contact Marilla King-Smith (our Health & Safety Manager).
