KpH HGV Drivers Complete Safe Urban Driving Course

With the ever-increasing number of cyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclists on our roads, KpH Group believe it is essential to encourage our HGV Drivers to increase their awareness of vulnerable road user’s and actively help reduce the risk posed to their safety by today’s busy urban environments…

To achieve this, Steve Peterson recently arranged for all our Cage Van Drivers to complete a Safe Urban Driving Training Course run by Fleet Source (Transport for London’s principal training provider). This course focuses on how fleet drivers share our cities’ streets safely with the most vulnerable road users, with a particular emphasis on cyclists. It also includes a practical ‘on-road’ cycle training module to give drivers a ‘real life’ experience of a cyclist’s perspective.

The Safe Urban Driving Course also contributes to 7 hours of the Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) Periodic Training (a requirement for our professional drivers).
