Contract Completion

Steam Boiler Removal

KpH have completed the removal of two no. 5 ton steam boilers from the basement of Wellington Hospital, London.

The removal needed to be undertaken in two phases to allow the new installation to be fitted and commissioned whilst still maintaining the hospital with heating and hot water.

The working environment was restricted for space and having to work around live equipment and services including gas. KpH deconstructed the boilers piecemeal using hot cutting techniques with a fume extraction system in place.

The material had to be removed through the maintenance corridors to the lift and out into the loading bay for loading onto a KpH Cage Van. The boiler removals were carried out to programme, without incident and on budget to the satisfaction of the client.

Following completion of the works our clients commented as follows:

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for the professional manner in which you carried out the removals and look forward to working with you again in hopefully the not too distant future. We would not hesitate in recommending your services to others.
